The Vice-President of Sierra Leone, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has been in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, for two days.
He was the bearer of the Head of State Julius Maada Bio to his Liberian counterpart, Joseph Nyumah Boakai.
While in Liberia, Dr Juldeh Jalloh was also due to attend an official ceremony at the Capitol in Monrovia, where Liberian President Joseph Nyumah Boakai delivered his first State of the Nation address.
After this ceremony, the Sierra Leonean Vice-President had a one-to-one meeting with President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, followed by a meeting with the Liberian Vice-President, Jeremiah Kpan Koon.
During this meeting, the President of Liberia congratulated his counterpart who, in the message conveyed to him, stressed the efforts of the two countries to achieve cooperation focused on the development of social capital, infrastructure and good governance.
In Monrovia, Juldeh Jalloh held talks with the Sierra Leonean community and the staff of the embassy in Liberia, before returning to Freetown.
